AMI Announces the Release of its Model 766A Picosecond Pulsed Seed Laser Diode Driver
Longwood, FL – August 26, 2024. Analog Modules, Inc. (AMI), a HEICO company (NYSE:HEI.A) (NYSE:HEI), is pleased to announce the release of its new Picosecond Pulsed Seed Laser Diode Driver, Model 766A. The Model 766A picosecond pulsed seed laser diode driver is designed for driving Type 1, 14-pin butterfly packaged laser diode modules. The pulse width is adjustable from <150 ps up to 1 ns at currents up to 2.5 A by using the on-board potentiometers or via external control voltage signals. The driver circuitry operates from a single 5V power source. All other required voltages are generated on the board by high efficiency switching power supplies. The driver includes a low-noise, bidirectional proportional-integral-derivative (PID) thermoelectric cooler controller (TEC) with current capability of 2.2 A and voltage capability of 4.0 V. Applications include materials processing, medical treatments, time-resolved spectroscopy, LIDAR and others.
