High Speed Pockels Cell Driver
Historically AMI’s Pockels Cell Drivers have offered the smallest possible footprint and featured on-board high voltage power supplies. The new Models 8211A and 8212A currently in development shift the focus from small size to high speed. The new designs will push the envelope in both risetime and repetition rate performance. Early prototypes are showing promising results of 4kV pulses with risetimes as fast at 3ns and 1MHz repetition rate.
100ps Risetime Laser Diode Driver
Launched early this year AMI’s Model 766 offers industry leading short pulsewidth performance for driving seed laser diodes in 14 pin butterfly packages. AMI is taking this same driver and laying it out to acomodate other laser diode packages. Solder pads near the board edge will accept the most common laser diode packages (5.6 mm, 9 mm, TO-18 and TO-52) with various pin configurations and accommodate either parallel or perpendicular mounting to the PCB.
50A CW Diode Driver
The Model 787 will be highly efficient, low ripple tri-phase laser diode driver designed to power pulsed and CW high current laser diode stacks. The driver will be configured to be stackable supporting output currents up to 200A. The Model 787 will be highly efficient. Prototype units have attained 96% efficiency when driving >20A into a +5V diode load.
Redesigned Model 313B and 713B
AMI’s transimpedance amplifiers and photodetector-amplifier modules can be found in most photonics laboratories around the world. Our amplifiers have unmatched signal to noise performance and some have been in production for over 30 years. Time has come to update this design using modern surface mount components and compliance with Directive 2011/65/EU (RoHS II). The Model 312B and 712B have recently been through this process and are available now. The prototyping stage for the Models 313B and 713B is complete. They will be ready for release to production soon offering DC to 250MHz bandwidth, 6.5pA/√Hz noise performance with up to 20kV/A gain.
