Electronics for Laser Designators and Rangefinders

AMI President Gary Sweezey and Product Manager Bruce Soileau will be walking the floor at the Association of the United States Army’s annual meeting in Washington, DC.  We look forward to meeting with customers and warfighters; getting feedback for current programs and discussing future requirements.

For over 40 years, Analog Modules, Inc. (AMI), an ISO 9001:2015 certified company, has been a leader in the design and manufacture of high-performance rugged sensor and laser electronics modules for military applications. AMI’s military products include Laser Rangefinder Receivers, LIDAR Sensing and Emitter Electronics, Custom Range Counters, Laser Spot Tracker Electronics, Capacitor Charging Power Supplies, Pockels Cell Drivers, Laser Diode Drivers, and custom assemblies. These products are used in Air, Ship, Man Pack, and Ground Vehicle environments for applications including target designation, laser rangefinding, ground illumination for terrain mapping, wire avoidance, laser fusing, laser warning/countermeasures, IR illumination, and mine detection. Many of these products are fully qualified to meet shock, vibration, temperature, and radiation hardened requirements and are manufactured to the ANSI J-STD-001 Class 3 workmanship standard.

Additional services provided by AMI include MTBF calculations, parts stress derating calculations, as well as environmental stress screening and qualification testing. AMI’s experience in designing specialized military modules and sub-systems helps to minimize development time and lowers risk inherent to new designs.

Please contact AMI today to discuss your optical receiver and rangefinder requirements.

Model 755A-04.1

Hybrid eyesafe laser rangefinder receiver is designed for laser rangefinding & surveying equipment. Compact construction is ideal for miniature applications. Fast recovery from To overload allows ranging to close objects without compromising long range performance. The incorporation of an InGaAs APD gives very high sensitivity with time programmed gain to minimize false targets. Operation at both 1.06 µm and 1.54 µm is possible over a wide range of pulse widths.
