AMI Model 758B.1 Laser Rangefinder ReceiverLongwood, FL – June 4, 2020. Analog Modules, Inc. is pleased to announce the release of its High-Performance Hybrid Eyesafe Laser Rangefinder Receiver, Model 758B.1.

Based on the field proven performance of AMI’s 758 Series Laser Rangefinder Receivers, the Model 758B.1 extends the capabilities even further with outstanding double-pulse discrimination.  This allows a weak target to be seen through a close, partly obscuring strong target.  Multiple Target Resolution is 12 meters typical over 6 orders of magnitude with the second pulse 10dB down.  A thermo-electric cooler is used to cool the detector and critical preamplifier components resulting in a stable sensitivity at high temperatures. Another unique feature of the 758B.1 is the provision of a linear channel and noise detector to continuously adjust the threshold for a constant false alarm rate.  The Model 758B.1 allows for compensation of variations in background light-induced noise. Pulse widths from 1 to 40 ns are processed over seven orders of magnitude dynamic range, and operation is possible from 1.0 to 1.6 µm.  The small size and PCB mounting make it ideal for compact systems requiring high target fidelity and maximum performance.
