Model 312B Low Noise, GaAs FET Transimpedance Amplifier

Transimpedance Amplifer

The 312B Series are ultra low noise, high gain, GaAs FET amplifiers designed for low level current source input applications in which high gain is required.

  • ULTRA LOW NOISE – DOWN TO 1 pA/√Hz
  • HIGH GAIN – 1 MV/A
  • BANDWIDTH – DC or 200 Hz TO 65 MHz
  • ACCEPTS CURRENT SOURCE INPUTS
  • DIRECTIVE 2011/65/EU (RoHS II) COMPLIANT

Transimpedance amplifiers have a virtual ground input.  The capacitance of the current source and any cabling reduces the bandwidth and increases the noise. To optimize bandwidth and noise performance AMI compensates the input stage of the Model 312B transimpedance amplifier for the end user’s source capacitance.  The options are shown in the table below:

Model 758B.1

Based on the field proven performance of AMI’s 758 Series Laser Rangefinder Receivers, the Model 758B.1 extends the capabilities even further with outstanding double-pulse discrimination. This allows a weak target to be seen through a close, partly obscuring strong target. Multiple Target Resolution is 12 meters typical over 6 orders of magnitude with the second pulse 10dB down.
